What is healthy lifestyle? How many of us who wish to stay healthy all the time? I believe that every one of us would like to have a healthy body and mind at any moments. But the reality is that, not all of us having a healthy lifestyle due to certain factors such as: unbalanced diet, stressful working environment, unhealthy habits like too much intake of alcohol, preservative food, smoking and etc. It may lead us to lots of illness and eventually will cost us a big lump sum of money to get medical treatment. To get a healthy lifestyle usually consists of eating the correct foods (referring balance diet), staying away from toxic substances for example: illicit drugs or cigarettes and exercising on a regular basis. It also needs to have minimizing stress.

Exercise regularly and proper diet help to increase our mood and reduce anxiety, furthermore keep our weight balanced and eventually body will functioning well. How to get a healthy and easy lifestyle through exercise? Base on daily basis, taking walks in the neighborhood, doing household tasks, such as housekeeping your house compound section by section are consider a light exercise. Those who work in the office try to use stairs instead of the elevator if you want it to. These are sufficient forms of exercise. Other ideas are you can go to outdoor activities like hiking, snorkeling, and many more as long as choose the one you prefer the most. From the research shown that majority of us did not get balanced diet, typically it consists of eating five to nine servings of vegetables and fruits. Only 2 to 3 serving for meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, nuts group, milk, yogurt and cheese group. Finally, the least daily consumption group is fats, oils and sweets.

Stress management is important in over daily life. How does stress affect health? Prolonged stress in our daily life without relief can lead to several illnesses like, an upset stomach, chest pain, headaches, depression, panic attacks and other forms of worry and anxiety. Most of us handle stress with alcohol, drugs, tobacco, overspending and etc. These are not effective solutions, besides it may lead other types of illness.   1. Ask yourself the source of your stress is, identified it and take action where you can.
  2. Always keep positive, realistic attitude and be clam all the time.
  3. Share your opinion, feelings or beliefs, instead of act defensive or passive.
  4. Exercise regularly and eat healthy. ( focus on more fruits, lean protein, vegetables)
  5. You have the right to say “NO” if the task is beyond your capabilities.
  6. Manage your time wisely; make time for your interest and hobbies. Spend more time with your love ones.
  7. Get sufficient sleep.
  8. Don’t rely on drugs, alcohols and caffeine to reduce stress level.
  9. Seeking more help from counselor or take a stress management class if you need it.
