How to Bind Hair Ribbons

You may want to add accessories on school attire or try new styles for weddings or other special events. Whatever the reason, the hair ribbon node is a beautiful way to dress any outfit and create a unique look. A few methods that you can take as reference as shown below.

Method 1: Using the Ribbon

  • Choose a ribbon. Look for ribbons that match your outfit or that have an interesting texture like velvet or a certain pattern.
  • Cut out the ribbon. To create a standard sized tape node, use a ribbon of about 30 cm long. If you want to make smaller or larger ribbons, use a ribbon strap less than or more than 30 cm.
  • Hold some hair or all the hair in your hands. You may want to tie your hair up or back with a rubber hair to make sure hair is safe.
Feel free to make two braids on both sides of the head and add the ribbon at the end.
  • Tuck the ribbon around the hair with one hand. If you use rubber hair, tape the ribbon around the hair rubber until all the ribbon is covered.
  • Combine both sides of the tape and tuck it into a knot. Pull both sides of the tape until tightly tied in the middle of the hair, or in the middle of the hair rubbers
  • Tie the ribbon knot. Just like how to tie the shoelaces [2], make two loop nodes and tie the ribbon.
  • Look into the mirror and adjust the ribbon knot. Make sure the sizes of both sides of the rib node are the same and are located straight above your head.
Spray hairspray or hair gel to get rid of hair that breaks and your hair look smooth and neat.
  • Keep the ribbon knot with KY Jelly. It’s hard to make the tape node still in place, especially if you are dealing with a fussy child who does not like any object in their head. Try using a drop of KY Jelly under the middle of the ribbon knot to secure it. You can also put a drop of gel or syrup in the center of the bond before you tie the ribbon knot.

Method 2: Using Your Hair

Make a ribbon tie. This is a gorgeous variation of a cluttered or common bun.
Begin by collecting hair into a ponytail and tie your hair with rubber bands or rubber hair, with the tip of the hair sticking out.

  • Separate the Conde by pulling it to create two circular loops, which will be two sides of the ribbon knot.
  • Use the tip of the hair to wrap both knots. This will create the illusion of a ribbon knot in the middle.
  • Secure the tape knot with a hairpin and / or hair spray.

Make a small hair ribbon. In this view some hair is torn to create a more relaxed style.

  • Take a small amount of hair from both sides of your head. The bigger the hair part, the bigger the knot, so decide how big or small the ribbon for the head you want.
  • Tied two parts of hair with rubber band or rubber hair to make a half ponytail. Do not remove the tip of the hair from the rubber to form a circular loop at the end of the bond.
  • Separate the loop circle in half to create two smaller loop nodes. Set aside a loop of nodes by pinning them.
  • Use your finger to tug at the uncurled knot and press it to the head to form the ribbon. Slip one hairpin from top to bottom and one hairpin from bottom to top.
  • Repeat this process on another node.
  • You will now have ribbon-shaped hair.
  • Lift the remaining end of the ponytail and wrap it around the rubber band to hide it. Secure the tip by tucking the hairpin under the ribbon.

As bind your hair with ribbon is one of the easiest and cheapest way, it won spend you more money. It effective and stylish everyone also can learn and practice it.
