Follow these steps to create a balanced and healthy life. Here are some ways to maintain good health.
Stay Healthy Mentally
Make sure your mind ready at the time.
Facts show that staying mentally active is an emotionally useful; studies proved that there is a link between thinking actively and Alzheimer’s risk reduction rate. Don’t stop learning, even though if you feel you are getting older.
- Diligently read, and embrace yourself together with your reading choices. Read the crazy mystery novel that you like, with a classic selection of works by London, Twain, and Hemingway.
- Play strategy games and solve puzzles. These games will hone you mentally. Besides that, you can also benefit from playing a musical instrument. The above activities are connected to improve your memory.
Strengthen your relationship
Prioritize to develop meaningful relationships that are more than just social relationships. Connect with people who enrich the values of life, eventually, make you feel happy. Learn self-disclosure, means sharing something that is unique to you (fears, thoughts, favorite music and movies) with people you believe. This has proven to be an extraordinarily important thing that not only establishes deeper personal relationships but also emotionally supported feelings.
- Practice how to gain a healthy relationship. Open to what you feel, try to understand the feelings of others, and be willing to cooperation. If you feel you have a controlled or manipulative relationship, leave the relationship behind. It’s better to stay strong even if alone rather than being bound by a friend.
- Take time to keep in touch with best friends. This doesn’t mean occasionally sending YouTube videos to their social media like Facebook pages. If you stay away from your best friends, take time to call them once every week. If you live close to your close friends, take time every week to stop and chat (both of you have a busy work schedule or family event, etc.). Lots of studies show that person who has many social friends are less likely to get sick than people with few social friends. Friends usually make you laugh; through laughing is also an essential part of health.
- Expand your sex life. And better yet, it can be done without or with a partner. If you have a partner, make sure to have a safe sexual relationship.
Expand doing good deeds.
- Doing good will make you feel good. When you give positive energy to this world, that positive energy will return to you. Improving the lives of others in time will also improve the mental state of yourself because you know that you are treated well by others.
- If you have spare time, allocate the time to help others. Be a volunteer for nature conservation programs or protect abandoned animals, or work in a communal kitchen when there are natural disasters in other areas. Or it can also just help a friend in a certain way.
Identified what are your interests.
Spend some time practicing musical instruments, doing art projects, taking photos, making market, welding, cooking, or any activity that fills your free time.
