Keep Your Face Clean Every Day

Find out your skin type. Is your skin dry, oily or normal? Here’s what you need to find out so you can make sure you have the right facial product. There are many different types, so it can sometimes be confusing.
• If your skin is normal, your skin has moisture, oil and a balanced resistance. Here’s what you’ll get by keeping it clean.
• If you have oily skin, your face may look shiny, damp or oily after a few hours of washing your face.
• If your skin is dry, it will often look peeling.
• If you have sensitive skin, your skin often feels tight or itchy and you will experience an allergic reaction when exposed to certain chemicals.
• Many people have combination skin, where some of your face is oily while the other part is dry.
Use a simple facial cleanser twice a day. Wash your face once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Each person’s skin is different and requires different treatments. You may have to try several different facial cleansers to find out which one is best for you. What you should look for from a facial cleanser is something that can get rid of dirt and germs and excess oil, but not remove any healthy oils on your face.
• Choose a facial cleanser based on skin type, how often you use cosmetics, and how often you exercise. For example, if your skin is oily, you need a cleanser that has a low pH level, which will more effectively cleanse the oil. If you have sensitive skin, stay away from cleaners full of chemicals.
• Avoid using ordinary soap, which is too hard for your face and can eliminate its natural oil content.
• Better to rinse your face with warm water or cold water. Hot water will remove the natural healthy oil content from your skin.
• You need to wash your face after exercising to get rid of all the sweat, dirt and oil that may be clogged in the pores of your face.
Tap your face with a clean towel to dry. Do not dry your face by rubbing it, gently pat. Facial skin is sensitive. Make sure the towel is clean; otherwise you will transmit the bacteria to your face.
Use facial toner. Although not necessary, facial toners can be very helpful for people who have oily skin, acne or clogged pores. Face fresheners help remove excess oil and dead skin cells that are left behind after cleansing the face. This is a great way to add active ingredients such as retinoid, anti-oxidants and skin-exfoliating creams to your skin.

• Apply face freshener after cleansing face with clean cotton on forehead, nose and chin (so-called “area T”). Apply cotton with a soft circular motion, and avoid eye area.
• Find the right facial toner for your skin type. Certain formulas can help peel the acne-prone face; others contain anti-inflammatory agents for sensitive skin.
• Many dermatologists advise against using an alcohol-based face freshener, as it will make the skin too dry even for oily skin.
Take care of the skin around your eyes gently. Do not rub your eyes, or use a hard cosmetic cleanser on your eyes. The section is very sensitive. So, for the same reason, do not sprinkle your face with cold water in the morning.

Use cosmetics that are suitable for your skin type. If you can, try buying cosmetics that say “non comedogenic” or “non acnegenic” on the label, as they are designed to help prevent acne, inflammation and will not clog your pores.

• Make sure you are not wearing old cosmetics. Skin care products, just like food, have an expiration date. Using it from its date will only cause bad things and not vice versa.
• Try using mineral-based or water-based cosmetics instead of choosing oil-based ones because it will make skin look oily and dull.

Drink plenty of water. Drink at least 8 glasses of water. By staying hydrated and making sure your body contains plenty of water means your body will function better, including maintaining the health and hygiene of your skin.
