Overcoming Temporary Mouth Odor

Drink lots of water
Dry mouth is the main problem that can cause bad breath or worsen your bad breath. White water has no odor and can clean up the remains of foods favored by bacteria. Drinking water can also increase the amount of saliva that can cleanse the mouth and get rid of odorous food debris.

Do not drink coffee, soft drinks, or alcoholic beverages to clean your mouth. This drink will not overcome bad breath, it will actually cause bad breath.

Eat sugar-free gum or mint flavor
Just like drinking water, this gum can help speed up the production of saliva in the mouth that will get rid of bad bacteria in the mouth. This gum can also overcome bad breath for a while.
• Make sure the chewing gum you eat does not contain sugar and has a mint flavor, because sugar can be a food for bad bacteria that will make your bad breath worse or just the same as before until the gum is gone.
Try gargling.
Gargling is another way to deal with bad breath directly. This method can disguise bad breath for a while, but this way is quite effective if you want to eliminate bad breath quickly.
• Gargling with antiseptic fluid can kill bad bacteria in the mouth, so the benefits will be more than just disguise bad breath. Look for antiseptics that contain bacterial killers such as chlorhexidine, cetylpyrinidium chloride, chlorine dioxide, zinc chloride and triclosan.
• Avoid using long-term chlorhexidine-containing mouthwash, as it can cause stains on teeth (although this stain can be removed). Do not give mouthwash to children, because they tend to swallow the mouthwash.
• Do not use mouthwash containing alcohol, especially if you are a child, because this mouthwash will make your mouth very dry.

Tips
• Follow the instructions on your tongue-cleansing kit or ask about how to use it from others who use it often. The surface of your tongue is full of bacteria that cause bad breath every day.
• Brushing your teeth and cleaning your tongue before bedtime is a powerful way to deal with your mouth bacteria all night and while you sleep. Drinking plenty of water before bedtime is also helpful.
• Drink water one hour after meals and avoid drinking cold water at meals.
• Brush or apply tooth with baking soda by mixing baking soda with water after you brush your teeth with toothpaste. This will help balance the pH in the mouth and make it harder for bacteria to grow inside your mouth. Do this before you sleep, to eliminate bad breath in the morning? Be sure to rinse your mouth after brushing or greasing your teeth with baking soda. Cake sods are not easily soluble in water so they can leave marks on teeth if they are not rinsed properly. Cake soda can remove stains on the teeth, but do not overuse this way because baking soda can erode teeth and cause your teeth to become brittle.
• Another way of emergency is to not breathe near other people’s faces if you feel your own bad breath is not tasty. You can take a breath in front of someone else’s face and exhale in the other direction. If you meet someone who has bad odor you can do the opposite. However, remember that this way is only for emergency situations and will not overcome the problem of your bad breath.
• Use an electric toothbrush that uses the battery.

Mouth odor may lead you to low self esteem, so put some effort to obtain oral health.
